Why we charge what we charge

I had an interesting conversation with a company today about why we charge what we charge.

When I told him what the investment would be, he said that they were thinking about getting a social media apprentice and he’d budgeted around the same figure (around £600 per month) if he outsourced his marketing.

In response, I said that with all due respect, if he chose us, he wouldn’t be hiring an apprentice. He would be hiring a team of three or four highly trained and qualified marketing professionals that could get up and running in a matter of days, not weeks or months.

This comes with the added-bonus of not having to train us, not having to supervise us and for us to bring the expertise, experience and training in marketing to his company.

Are we cheap or expensive?

Well, it depends on your point of view. If we can bring a team that quickly gets up to speed with understanding your business and generates qualified leads and appointments to you each and every month with very little training or supervision, pensions, sick leave or holiday, I would argue we’re worth our weight in gold.
