One of the most common questions we get asked is ‘what’s the quickest way to get new clients?’
The answer to this is that there are basically two ways.
The first is making sure all of your Marketing is geared up to having conversations with people. Here are some examples of that:
• Send out an email? Suggest that people book in a call with you
• Connect on LinkedIn? Send out a follow up email after they’ve connected inviting them to have a chat
• Get people to request a checklist? Have a thank you page inviting them to have a conversation
The more you set up conversations with people, the quicker your Marketing will work for you.
The second way quickest way to get new clients is to follow up. We can’t stress how important this one is…and how many people don’t do it.
You should follow up:
• Proposals
• If the prospect isn’t there when you call the first time
• If someone makes an enquiry on your website
• When someone asks you to call them
• And so on…
Yes, this one sounds obvious, but we’ve lost count of how many people don’t bother with the follow up and lose the opportunity.
These two things will give you consistent leads flowing in through the pipeline.
