Shrinking your presentations
by Karen Roem

This month’s tip was inspired by a question during a recent "Boost PowerPoint beyond bullet points" seminar. One of the delegates asked how to reduce the size of all images in a presentation thus reducing the size of your - massive? - PowerPoint file.
Here's how:

1. Right-click any of the pictures in your presentation
2. Select Format Picture from the shortcut menu.
3. In the Format dialog box, click the Picture tab, and then click Compress
4. Under Apply to, click All pictures in document
5. Under Change resolution, click Web/Screen. (This is assuming you will use your presentation for a screen show. If you plan to distribute your presentation as printed pages, click Print)
6. Under Options, make sure the Compress pictures check box and the Delete cropped areas of pictures check boxes are selected.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Apply.

By the way, the next seminar will be held on 13th April at the Sun House, Queen Edith's Way, Cambridge. The new venue is approximately an hour from London by direct train from King's Cross station; there are frequent buses from the station and also a convenient taxi service. The house is easily accessible by road from the M11 and A14 with free on-site parking.
To celebrate our new premises I'm offering all Exceptional Thinking readers a place for the reduced price of £195 (+ VAT), saving you 100 pounds!
