PR SORTED!

When you hear the word PR, what does it mean to you? Press releases; hard work; not sure where to start; don’t wanna contact the press or something else. About two years ago, I could completely resonate with these phrases. PR to me meant writing press releases and endless (scary) calls to journalists to try and get these releases into the paper. Problem was I wasn’t very good at this at getting my releases into the paper and hated making calls to the press. And then..someone told me that I was really good at PR. What a ridiculous statement! I was terrible at PR.

Then this person explained that actually PR was much more than press releases these days and there was loads of other stuff that I was doing that constituted PR. Once I thought of these activities in that way, I started being successful with PR and these days, journalists are contacting ME!

In our June workshop, I want to share my secrets with you. I want to tell you how to put in place a successful PR campaign and how even if you don’t like speaking to journalists, you can still make a PR campaign work for you.

We’re going to cover things like:

How to come up with a ‘story’ that might be of interest to the press

Why you’re probably doing some PR already, but not realising it

How to make PR work for you without being too time-consuming

Creating an excellent press release

How to get business from the PR you do

How to do PR without even talking to the press

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

At the end of the workshop, I promise you that you’ll come away with a plan that you can put in place in your business immediately. You’ll receive handouts throughout the session to refresh your memory when you get back to your desk and we’ll even send you a recording of the key points you learnt on the workshop which you can listen to again at your convenience. We’ll even send you a certificate to confirm you’ve attended too.

WHO RUNS THE WORKSHOPS?

The workshops are led by me, Helen Dowling. I’m a small business owner too so I understand how you feel about marketing and what you’d like to know. We’ve taught many, many small businesses owners the tools and techniques we’ll be passing to you with some fantastic successes. One lady told us that her turnover had doubled after coming along to one of our workshops!

I know you’ll need to take time away from your business to come onto the workshop – that’s why we keep them to a maximum of 2 ½ hours. And if you attend the workshop and don’t come away with at least one useful tip that you can apply to your business straight away, we’ll refund your money – no questions asked!

WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE COME ONTO THE WORKSHOPS?

So far, over 300 business owners have now attended our workshops and 98% have rated them as good or excellent. Why not come along and see how our workshops can help your business too?

“Relaxed style, putting participants at ease. Well organised and at the right level”

“Very good and tailored to meet the delegate’s needs.”

“Clear, concise and very enjoyable.”

“It was great being able to share common experiences in a non-judgemental, supportive environment.”

“It has reinforced that marketing can work for me! Always relaxed and humorous.”

“Just great! I loved the ideas, style, easy layouts and I had several lightbulb moments.”

“Open and engaging style. Very relevant and practically focused. Chance to look at things afresh.”

The groups are kept small – maximum 12 participants so that you receive some individual attention and there are no ‘scary’ activities like role playing or giving a presentation to the group. The workshops are meant to be fun, interactive and give you plenty of help with what to do next.
