HOW TO GET BUSINESS THROUGH NETWORKING EVENTSNetworking – ah, I can almost hear you cringing. There are far too many networking events aren’t there and unfortunately they’ve been given a bad name because business owners have been promised lots of business from these events and very few live up to that expectation. How many networking events do you go to where you expect to get some business and even though you make an effort before, during and after the event, nothing comes from it? Annoying isn’t it and frustrating. And does this mean that you stop going to networking events as a result? I do believe that it is possible to get business from networking events and to make them work successfully for you. But, I also know that networking events have changed considerably in the last few years and to make them work you have to also change your approach to them too. On our April workshop, I’m going to share with you how I’ve made networking work for my business and how you can too. We’re going to cover: • Which events should you be going to? • What you absolutely need to do before, during and after the event • How to explain what your business does in 30 seconds or less and get people asking for more information • Why you’re missing a trick if you don’t do two simple things after the event • What to do with all those business cards you collect • How to work the room effectively and ‘get away’ from people without causing offence.
